Posture 7
Shavasana is the most important pose in Yin Yoga as we use it to reset. As you lie in this pose with your arms at about a 45 degree angle try to release any effort from holding your limbs - let them become heavy and sink into the ground. Relax every part of your being - just let it all go. Stay in the pose for as long as you want.
As you come out of Shavasana you can move your focus onto scanning your body. Start by focusing your attention on your feet noticing how they feel. Then move your focus up to your legs, pelvis, belly, lower back, chest, upper back, arms, hands, neck, head. Do this slowly and pause on each area for about a minute. As you bring awareness to each body part pay attention as to how each area feels.
