Posture 5
The sphinx pose helps to create a healthy lower back curve – which we can lose due to ageing and sitting for long periods. To get into this pose, lie face down on your stomach and let your legs splay into a comfortable position. Now place both forearms on the ground. Slowly raise your chest to a position where you feel a stretch in your lower back. Remember to find your edge where you feel a decent stretch but no pain. Keep your head up and facing forward. Hold this pose for 3 mins. To come out slowly, lower your chest to the ground and move into Shavasana.
